Services We Offer
We offer certified weld inspection, coating inspection, concrete inspection, masonry inspection, soils inspection, ground penetrating radar inspection, (GPR) positive material identification, (PMI) Non-destructive testing (NDT) destructive testing, static coefficient of friction testing (COF) to OSHA, ADA standards, dimensional inspection to vessels, pipe, fittings, valves etc. and more.
How can we help you?
TSP and Lattice Tower Corrosion Assessment
Visually examine for signs of corrosion to TSP. Bore scope internal cavity of TSP when possible through access points. Collect thickness readings of TSP by way of ultrasonic testing (UT). Report findings on a very comprehensive, detailed and Southern California Edison (SCE) approved report. Make assessments to condition of concrete and bolting as well. Also provide NACE certified inspection if/when coating repairs are in order.
NACE Coating Inspection
Our coating inspectors are requested more and more as clients are beginning to completely realize the importance of their coated products protection from the elements. The coating process is a very detailed activity which, if not done correctly, can result in a coated product pre-maturely failing and leaving your product open to accelerated corrosion. We want to help protect your asset(s) and we can by utilizing NACE certified inspectors to monitor coating application. Our inspectors are also familiar with corrosion assessment. We can make an assessment and even utilize a NACE Certified Level III Inspector to put together a coating specification for you.
AWS Certified Welding Inspection
This inspector is certified by the American Welding Society (AWS) founded in 1919 and as AWS states, “we have a global mission to advance the science of technology and application of welding and allied joining and cutting processes, including brazing, soldering and thermal spraying”. Simply put, the AWS certified welding inspector is highly regarded and recognized worldwide. Whether you have structural welding inspection needs in the area of AWS, AISC, L.A. City or mechanical welding inspection needs in the area of ASME B31.1, B31.3, ASME Boiler and Pressure vessel, API, we can provide inspection coverage.
Special Inspection (deputy)
Providing these inspectors for your concrete inspection needs also means you get an ACI field test technician field 1 inspector as well. In most cases, when an ICC concrete inspection is required, concrete testing is also needed, and an ICC concrete inspector is already an ACI technician as well which means our concrete inspectors may sample and check all other areas of concrete inspection including, reinforced bar sizes, types, clearances, quantity, placing, etc. Concrete inspectors will verify conformance to project and code requirements. These inspectors can also verify and monitor epoxy secured anchor bolts. Our ICC concrete inspectors will monitor the pour to ensure proper consolidation and placement of concrete. Concrete samples are also taken care of and test break data is transmitted right away upon test break results. If you require further concrete flatness testing we can provide this service as well per ASTM E1155. We can provide and help determine flatness even prior to concrete and accurately determine flatness results post-concrete pour. Many other special inspection needs can be met including;
ICC Certified Masonry special inspection (deputy)
ICC certified spray applied fire proofing special inspection (deputy)
ICC certified Structural steel and bolting special inspection (deputy)
ICC structural welding special inspection (deputy)
ICC certified prestressed concrete special inspection (deputy)
ICC certified soils special inspection (deputy)
ASNT Certified Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Inspection
This inspection type covers areas of certified non-destructive testing. (NDT)
Whether you need radiographic testing (RT), Magnetic Particle testing (MT), Penetrant testing (PT) ultrasonic testing (UT) or many other forms of NDT, we can meet your needs. These test methods are used in various applications to accurately locate surface, sub-surface and internal defects to welds and many other substrates. We also utilize ultrasonic testing (UT) to determine thicknesses of steel and in some cases help determine corrosion rates.
Dimensional Inspection
We can perform dimensional inspection to determine conformance to requirements set forth in mechanical applications such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, de-aerators, and piping to name a few.
Floor Flatness per ASTM E1155
We can provide this service to accurately determine the actual flatness of finished concrete. This service is also popular to determine certain aspects of the pour area prior to concrete pour for example, steel plates which will be integrated into pour can be checked accurately prior to pour.
Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)
This service is utilized when repairs, or utilities need to be added to existing concrete or CMU. The GPR test method can determine metallic objects like gas lines, electrical or reinforced bar in a CMU wall or concrete slab up to 20” in depth in most cases.
